Jon Favreau Announces Release Date for New “Lion King” Film

Director Jon Favreau has announced the release date for the new Lion King film (can we call it live-action if it’s CGI animals?). He previously directed the live-action Jungle Book, and has been busy preparing to bring our favorite Lion King characters to life.

Now, we finally learn that The Lion King will be released into theaters on July 19, 2019.
