Jude Law Cast as Albus Dumbledore in Next “Fantastic Beasts” Film

Pottermore has announced that actor Jude Law will play Albus Dumbledore in the next Fantastic Beasts film.

According to the site, the next Fantastic Beasts film will show the legendary character years before he became the Headmaster we know and love at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The character was brought to life in the Harry Potter films by actors Richard Harris (Sorcerer’s Stone and Chamber of Secrets) and Michael Gambon (Prisoner of Azkaban,Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince, Deathly Hallows: Part 1 & 2).

Jude Law has previously starred in films such as Sherlock Holmes, The Holiday, The Aviator, Cold Mountain and more.

The next Fantastic Beasts film is set to release in November 2018.
