The Series Finale for “The Vampire Diaries” Airs Tonight

The 2-hour series finale for The Vampire Diaries will air tonight, on The CW. Fans have watched the beloved series since it premiered on September 10, 2009.

The show was developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, and was based on the popular book series written by L. J. Smith. Fans fell in love with the story of Elena, Stefan,Damon, Jeremy, Bonnie and Caroline, along with many other characters who have appeared over the span of the series.

Nina Dobrev, who left after season 6, will return for the finale.
