Some big news today for Star Trek: Discovery, we finally have a captain! Jason Isaacs has been officially cast as Captain Lorca! Isaacs is most known as the villainous Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, as well as recently appearing on The OA. Jason will be joining already announced cast members such as James Frain, Doug Jones, Michelle Yeoh, Anthony Rapp and Terry Serpico
Production began in January and will take place 10 years before Captain Kirk’s five-year mission. The series has had their release dates pushed back a few times, with a new timeline for release being late summer / early fall.
