As if Supernatural Day was not reason enough to celebrate today, fans were treated to a brand new promotional image for the upcoming season 12!

The image, as shown above, features Dean (Jensen Ackles), Crowley (Mark Sheppard), Sam (Jared Padalecki), and Castiel (Misha Collins) standing in what appears to be a door of flame. Below the fiery doorway are the words, “MEET THEM ON THE DARK SIDE.”
The last time we saw the Winchester brothers, Dean had just ran into his resurrected mother after helping Chuck (Rob Benedict) and Amara (Emily Swallow) reconcile while Sam was being taken in by one of the British Men of Letters. Considering these events, we are definitely curious to see how season 12 will play out!
Season 12 of Supernatural will premiere October 13 on The CW. In the meantime, fans can prepare for the upcoming season by checking out videos from the Supernatural panels (via TheNerdMachine) that took place at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con or re-watch season 11 on Blu-Ray and DVD.
