Recently, The Hollywood Reporter hosted five incredibly talented actors — Andrew Garfield, Jonathan Majors, Nicolas Cage, Peter Dinklage, and Simon Rex — for an Actors Roundtable. The episode, which was moderated by The Hollywood Reporter’s Rebecca Keegan, is available to watch now.
As individuals, these five men all have extensive filmographies under their belts, and as a group, they certainly have a lot to talk about within the 53-minute roundtable. Garfield recently gave his first musical performance for Lin-Manuel Miranda under Netflix as the late musical theatre writer Jonathan Larson in tick, tick…BOOM!. Shortly after tick, tick…BOOM!‘s premier on Netflix, Garfield also surprised audiences internationally as he made his return to the Spider-Man suit in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Majors also made his first Marvel Studios appearance this year in season 1 of Loki as He Who Remains and is fresh off of a Netflix movie, The Harder They Fall.
Cage, who recently wowed audiences with his performance in Pig as a former chef who is tracking down his stolen truffle-hunting pig, can also be seen in the upcoming film The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Cage will take on a meta role and play himself as a declining actor who is forced to take a high-paying job attending a wealthy fan’s birthday party. Dinklage can be seen in the musical drama Cyrano now in theaters, while Rex recently was seen as a washed-up porn star in Red Rocket.
