Amazon Prime’s ‘The Wheel of Time’ to Premiere in November 2021

Amazon just announced that their new fantasy series The Wheel of Time will premiere in November 2021. The new show is adapted from Robert Jordan’s book series.

The synopsis of the show is as follows:

“Set in a high fantasy world where magic exists, but only some can access it, a woman named Moiraine crosses paths with five young men and women. This sparks a dangerous, world-spanning journey.”

The first book in The Wheel of Time’s universe was published in 1990. It was followed by 13 books including a prequel. The last three books in the saga were published after Jordan’s death in 2007 after being completed by Brandon Sanderson.

Rosamund Pike, Sophie Okonedo, Josha Stradowski, Marcus Rutherford, Zoë Robins, Barney Harris, Madeleine Madden, and Daniel Henney are all part of the cast.

Rafe Judkins is the showrunner for the series which will be composed of six episodes. Amazon already renewed the show for a second season.
