Outfest Launching Inaugural OutFronts To Highlight LGBTQ+ TV

Outfest has announced that they will be launching a new virtual festival this June called OutFronts, highlighting LGBTQ+ representation in episodic television. The event will span the course of five days, running from June 4 through June 8.

The upcoming event will offer free programming as well as exclusive, member-only premieres and sneak peeks. All the presentations will highlight queer TV programs, characters, and explore how LGBTQ+ representation is changing across TV and film.

The panels will focus on TV across networks and streaming, including but not limited to:

  • Love, Victor Season 2, panelists to be announced
  • The CW’s LGBTQ Superheroes Panel featuring Javicia Leslie (Batwoman), Nancy Kiu (writer/producer, Batwoman), Chyler Leigh (Supergirl), Nicole Maines (Supergirl), Carl Ogawa (producer), and moderator Damian Holbrook (TV Guide)
  • Special featuring Ryan O’Connell, Jessica Hecht, Punam Patel, and moderator Anthony Ramos (GLAAD Head of Talent)
  • Being Out in Television Panel featuring Paris Barclay (director/producer, Station 19), Jake Borelli (Grey’s Anatomy), Ronen Rubinstein (9-1-1: Lone Star), Gina Yashere (Bob Hearts Abishola), and Alexandra Grey (MacGyver)
