YouTube has announced that it will be launching a new weekly original series, called Released. The first episode premieres tonight at 11:45 ET, and the 16-episode series will feature “some of music’s most noteworthy artists and show the exciting moments right before they drop music.” The series is hosted by Washington, D.C. DJ, Little Bacon Bear, and comes from Gunpowder & Sky CEO Van Toffler and Den of Thieves.
Korean girl group BLACKPINK will star in the series pilot, just before dropping their new album on October 2. The group will also be premiering their brand new music video for their song, “Lovesick Girls.” Although YouTube hasn’t announced which other musical talents will be appearing in the episodes, the company will announce upcoming artists each week.
