‘9-1-1’: LA’s Finest Are Back On Call in New Season 3B Poster

After a three-month hiatus, the crew of Los Angeles’ Firehouse 118 are back in action. Although the spin-off 9-1-1: Lone Star and the 126 crew in Austin have been riding in the saddle since mid-January, the season finale is airing next week already. Its predecessor is ready to come back, and fans are ready to have it. FOX has unveiled a brand-new poster featuring the entire cast, with the tagline, “Back on Call.” 9-1-1 will officially be returning on March 16.

The previous episode ended somewhat happily, with everyone together and celebrating Christmas, but Michael told Bobby about his condition. The new episode “Seize the Day” will feature Bobby, Athena, and the kids trying to cope with Michael’s health and a “difficult decision” he’s made about it, and obviously, there will be some crazy calls the crew will have to deal with. The back half of the season is expected to include Eddie’s backstory, much like the episodes “Bobby Begins,” “Hen Begins,” “Chim Begins,” and the recent “Athena Begins.” Friday Night Lights alum Connie Britton, who played 9-1-1 operator Abby in the first season and Buck’s love interest, is expected to come back for a few episodes, but in what capacity is not yet known, nor how Buck will handle it.

Both 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Lone Star have yet to be renewed by FOX, but with both doing so well, there’s no doubt they will both be on the 2020-2021 schedule. Hopefully, the 118 and 126 crews can get together in the future, but fans might have to settle on them airing on the same night first if all goes well.

Catch the last few episodes of 9-1-1: Lone Star season 1 on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on FOX, with a two-hour long season finale airing Monday, March 9. 9-1-1 season 3 returns the following week, March 16, at 8 p.m. EST on FOX. Both are available to stream on Hulu.
