It’s time to break out your brick phones and mischievous ways because Mark-Paul Gosselaar is returning to Bayside High in the new Saved By the Bell revival for NBCUniversal’s new streaming platform Peacock. Gosselaar will reprise his iconic role of Zack Morris in the new series for three episodes, as told to The Hollywood ReporterThe Black-ish actor will also be credited as a producer. Universal Television is also reportedly in talks with Tiffani Thiessen, who portrayed “It” Girl, and Zack’s crush/on-again-off-again girlfriend/soon-to-be-wife throughout Saved By the Bell and its spin-off, Saved By the Bell: The College Years, Kelly Kapowski. Thiessen is currently starring in Netflix’s coming-of-age comedy Alexa & Katie, which had just recently premiered its third season.

Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley, who played A.C. Slater and Jessie Spano on the series, were the first to announce the revival. It will be “a single-camera comedy that explores what happens when Zack, who is now the governor of California, gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools and proposes the affected students be sent to the highest-performing schools in the state — including Bayside High.” Lopez and Berkley will reprise their roles and serve as producers in the upcoming series. There is no word yet on whether Lark Voorhies, who played Lisa Turtle, or Dustin Diamond, who played Samuel “Screech” Powers and was recently serving time in a Wisconsin prison, will be returning.

Peacock is set to launch in April, with originals joining the lineup in the summer. However, there is no news on when the Saved By the Bell revival will air. The original series, as well as The College Years, are both currently streaming on Hulu.
