There’s many new experiences coming to Walt Disney World Resort this spring and summer and we’ve compiled a list for you below.
Animal Kingdom
Rivers of Light (Animal Kingdom)
Starting April 22, Animal Kingdom‘s first ever night show will debut! The show, set on Discovery River in the Asia section of the park, will depict an ancient lantern festival guided by two storytellers who call forth four animal Spirit Guides: an Asian Tiger, Tropical Turtle, African Elephant and Great Horned Owl. These Spirit Guides return at different points during the show to lead the audience through their journey through the Rivers of Light.

Evening Safari (Animal Kingdom)
Also starting April 22, Animal Kingdom will offer an evening version of the popular Kilimanjaro Safaris. During your adventure, witness the rarely seen nocturnal habits of the reserve’s many animal residents, including lions, elephants, hippopotamuses and hyena.

Epcot
Frozen Ever After (Epcot)
Coming this summer (rumored for May), Frozen Ever After will debut in Epcot. The adventure begins on the docks of Arendelle, as seen in the classic animated film. After finding a seat aboard your boat, feel an Olaf-inspired smile frost across your face when the lapping waters take you right into the frozen willow forest.

Also coming this summer to Epcot, Soarin’ Around the World will take guests on a journey to far-flung lands, over some of the world’s most unique natural landscapes and man-made wonders.

Hollywood Studios
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular (Hollywood Studios)
Starting April 4, a stage show that will debut. It will have moments from the film saga on the center stage in front of the Chinese Theater and will feature appearances from Kylo Ren, Chewbacca, Darth Vader and Darth Maul.

Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away (Hollywood Studios)
A new Star Wars fireworks show will debut at Hollywood Studios this summer. According to Disney, “The show will combine fireworks, pyrotechnics, special effects and video projections that will turn the nearby Chinese Theater and other buildings into the twin suns of Tatooine, a field of battle droids, the trench of the Death Star, Starkiller Base and other Star Wars destinations.”

Meet Olaf (Hollywood Studios)
The meet and greet will be taking place some time in the Echo Lake part of the Hollywood Studios, with no exact date planned except for “this spring”. This is easily one of the most requested meet and greets!
