Zachary Quinto and Billy Porter Join ‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’

The Proud Family is an absolute classic, and as such, fans were excited when news was released that the show would be getting a reboot with new faces such as Keke Palmer.

Two new cast members have just been revealed; Entertainment Weekly revealed that Zachary Quinto and Billy Porter have been added to the upcoming series as Barry Leibowitz-Jenkins and Randall Leibowitz-Jenkins, respectively. The two are adoptive mixed-race parents to Maya (Keke Palmer), who is a 12-year-old activist.

The reboot is starring both old and new faces alike, with the likes of Kyla Pratt (Penny Proud), Tommy Davidson (Oscar Proud), Paula Jai Parker (Trudy Proud), JoMarie Payton (Suga Mama) Karen Malina White (Dijonay Jones), Alisa Reyes (LaCienega Boulevardez), Soleil Moon Frye (Zoey Howzer), Cedric the Entertainer as Uncle Bobby, Carlos Mencia as Felix Boulevardez, Maria Canals-Barrera (Sunset Boulevardez), Alvaro Gutierrez (Papi), and EJ Johnson (Michael Collins).

The series isn’t set to start streaming until 2022, but until then, all seasons of The Proud Family are available on Disney+. Stay tuned for more updates.
