‘Cinderella’ Starring Camila Cabello To Be Released on Amazon Prime

Instead of following the original plan for a theatrical release in July, Deadline has announced that Sony Pictures’ new re-telling of Cinderella will be released straight to Amazon Prime Video.

The movie reimagining of the age-old story will feature singer Camila Cabello in the title role. It also stars Idina Menzel (Frozen) as her stepmother and Billy Porter (Pose) as her Fairy Godmother. The film is a musical and will feature familiar pop music alongside original songs, including tracks by Cabello and Menzel. The star-studded cast also includes Nicholas Galitzine (Chambers), Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting), and Pierce Brosnan (GoldenEye).
