Blake Lively will star in and produce Lady Killer, which will be based on the popular series from Dark Horse Comics. Diablo Cody, known for her screenplays for Juno and Jennifer’s Body, will adapt the script for Netflix. Cody was recently nominated for a Tony Award for the book of the musical Jagged Little Pill.
Lady Killer follows the story of Josie Schuller (Lively), a perfect 1950s housewife who happens to also be an assassin-for-hire by night. Dark Horse Entertainment, which also produces The Umbrella Academy, will also produce this new film. Stay tuned for more information on the film as we get it!
