Of age Star Wars fans will have a treat of their own on Disney’s new cruise ship, the Disney Wish, with a galaxy far, far away-themed bar and lounge.
According to StarWars.com, the Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge is an immersive bar for adults at night. During the day, kids can hang out in the lounge with non-alcoholic drink options. Danny Handke, a senior creative director of Walt Disney Imagineering, said in a press release that the lounge becomes “an adult playground for the world of Star Wars.”
The lounge has a sophisticated space ship theme to it. (Think Dryden Vos’ yacht ship from Rogue One: A Star Was Story.) Handke said the look of the Hyperspace Lounge matches the design and theme of the Disney Wish.
With the name of the lounge, it’s no surprise that hyperspace travel plays a big role in the experience, according to StarWars.com. Using a wide-screen, seven-pane window, the bar viewport will make it feel like you’re jumping to different locations across the galaxy, as well as different time periods!
People can look forward to seeing the planet Tatooine set during The Mandalorian, Batuu, Mustafar during the Rogue One time period, Endor, and more! You’ll even be able to watch a scene where the Resistance and the First Order are fighting each other while sipping your drink!

The drinks you’ll be able to get at Hyperspace Lounge will be made from scratch, which means they will be completely different than the drinks you can get at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the Disney Parks.
Guests can enjoy a drink or two in the Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge while traveling through the galaxy when the Disney Wish sets sail in Summer 2022.
