Cole Sprouse (Five Feet Apart, Riverdale) has joined Lana Condor in the upcoming HBO Max Original feature Moonshot. From New Line Cinema, Moonshot is a romantic comedy that features sci-fi elements. Deadline was the first to report the news.
Moonshot is set in the distant future when Mars has been colonized. Two college students who lead different lives band together to sneak onto a space shuttle to Mars where they will be reunited with their loved ones.
Chris Winterbauer will direct from a screenplay by Max Taxe. Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter will produce through Berlanti/Schechter Films alongside Jill McElroy and Jenna Sarkin of Entertainment 360. Mike McGrath will executive produce with Dana Fox.
