When it was announced that Disney+ would be making a television series for Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians (PJO), demigods young and old rejoiced. Almost immediately, there was an influx of questions regarding casting possibilities from fans and budding actors alike.

It seems that the preliminary casting calls have finally begun, for today, Riordan announced on social media and his website that it was finally time to start searching for an actor to play the one and only Perseus Jackson.

Currently, only the role of Percy is looking to be filled, as the rest of the casting choices will revolve around who plays the main character.

While the PJO series is still a long way off from being broadcast on our screens, we can’t help but be excited as things progress towards that inevitable outcome. As always, stay tuned for more updates.
