Emilia Clarke and Image Comics are teaming up to release M.O.M.: Mother of Madness, a new comic series that revolves around mothers being real superheroes. The three-issue series will be co-written by the GLAAD Media Award-nominated Marguerite Bennett (Josie and the Pussycats, Angela) with art by Leila Leiz (Horde).

The story will begin with Maya, an “under-the-weather scientist by day, over-the-top superhero by night, and badass single mom 24/7” who activates her superpowers to take on a secret sect of human traffickers.

M.O.M.: Mother of Madness‘s first issue will have two covers, Cover A (Diamond Code MAY210009) by Jo Ratcliffe and Cover B (Diamond Code MAR218051) by Jen Bartel. Both covers will be available at comic shops starting July 21.

The comic will also be available to purchase digitally across a wide range of platforms including Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, comiXology, and Google Play.
