The Water Man, David Oyelowo’s directorial debut, is almost here, and the first official trailer has been released!
The movie follows Gunner, who seeks out a mythic figure called the Water Man — who holds the secret to immortality — to save his ill mother. When he enlists the help of a mysterious local, Jo, the pair journey deep into the Wild Horse forest only to realize how strange and dangerous it is. Their only hope for rescue is Gunner’s father, who will do whatever it takes to find Gunner and Jo, discovering more about his son in the process.
The Water Man stars Oyelowo, Rosario Dawson, Lonnie Chavis, Amiah Miller, and Alfred Molina. Oyelowo directed the screenplay from Emma Needell. Check out the trailer below.
