The infamous Baron Zemo’s current whereabouts may still be unknown for the time being in the world of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier … but as for the talented man behind the mask, Daniel Brühl? As of today, he could be found chatting with Fox 5’s Good Day DC!

Brühl, who’s also known for his work in the 2013 hit film Rush and TNT’s period drama The Alienist, first joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Captain America: Civil War. The disastrous events that took place in the film were a domino effect orchestrated by Helmut Zemo, a man on a hellbent mission to avenge his family who died tragically in Sokovia in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Now, fresh out of prison in Marvel’s hit new series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier courtesy of a Bucky Barnes scheme not fully approved by Sam Wilson, audiences have been introduced to a new side of Zemo (see also: The Zemo Cut).

Brühl talked with Good Day DC about how it felt to join the MCU and subsequently return for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and the refreshing way that the series expanded upon his character (such as finally having the chance to don Zemo’s iconic mask, exploring his aristocratic background, and embracing his sense of humor).
