Star Wars: The High Republic isn’t going anywhere any time soon, and Star Wars fans are getting a look into what the future of the publishing campaign looks like. The official descriptions for the first round of titles in Phase I, Wave II have been released.

The High Republic era takes places hundreds of years before the start of the Skywalker Saga in The Phantom Menace, when the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order are at their most powerful.

Here is what fans across the galaxy have to look forward to.

The High Republic #6

Lucasfilm

The new wave of stories begins in June with this next installment of The High Republic comic series. Written by Cavan Scott, the Marvel comic follows the Jedi of the Starlight Beacon as they “join forces with their most feared enemy to face the terror of the unstoppable Drengir horde,” according to StarWars.com.

The High Republic #6 will be available on June 2.

STAR WARS INSIDER #203 — Hidden Danger Part I

Also coming in June, the first installment of Hidden Danger — a serialized fiction story written by Justina Ireland. The story follows Administrator Velko Jahen and Starlight Beacon’s Head of Security Ghal Tarpfen as they plan for a conference in preparation for “The Republic Fair” with the Agrarian and Agricultural Alliance aboard the space station. StarWars.com says “the pair will be pushed to the limit when the Drengir slither onto the scene.”

The artwork for this new story will be by Louie De Martinis, and the first installment comes out on June 8.

The Rising Storm

Lucasfilm

Next in the line up is The Rising Storm, an adult novel written by Cavan Scott. This story follows the events of the first adult novel in the publishing campaign, Light of the Jedi.

The chancellor of the Republic plans, as previously mentioned, The Republic Fair to showcase possibility and peace in the expanding Republic. Many characters introduced in previous High Republic stories join the event as ambassadors of harmony. However, the Nihil are watching and ready to strike. Their leader, Marchion Ro, is intent on destroying this spirit of unity.

The Rising Storm will be available to buy on June 28.

Race to Crashpoint Tower

Lucasfilm

The second middle grade novel in The High Republic publishing campaign is coming on June 29.

Race to Crashpoint Tower, written by Daniel José Older, also takes place around The Republic Fair. In this story, Jedi Padawan Ram Jomaram is on Valo, the planet the fair will take place on, hiding out “when a security alarm goes off on the nearby hilltop nicknamed Crashpoint Peak.” He goes to investigate and realizes the planet and fair are in danger. Along the way he gets help from some “unexpected new friends.”

The High Republic Adventures #6

Another comic installment is headed our way! IDW’s The High Republic Adventures #6 follows Qort and Farzala who join Leox Gyasi and the crew of the Vessel — first introduced in The High Republic: Into the Dark — on a secret mission for the Jedi.

Race to Crashpoint Tower’s author Daniel José Older wrote The High Republic Adventures #6. It will be available on July 7.

Out of the Shadows

Coming July 22, the new young adult novel Out of the Shadows. It is written by Justina Ireland. This book introduces us to Sylvestri Yarrow, who is just trying to keep her family’s cargo business going after her mom’s death. According to StarWars.com, Sylvestri “heads to the galactic capital of Coruscant for help, but gets sidetracked when she’s drawn into a squabble between two of the Republic’s most powerful families over a patch of space on the frontier. Tangled up in familial politics is the last place Syl wants to be, but the promise of a big payoff is enough to keep her interested.”

Characters from previous stories — including Vernestra Rwoh, Imri Cantaros, and Reath Silas — make appearances in this story as well.

Tempest Runner

The High Republic’s first audio novel is here! Tempest Runner, written by Cavan Scott, focuses on the “bad guys” within this publishing campaign. It tells the story of Lourna Dee, a leader among the Nihil, who was introduced in Light of the Jedi. This story is giving fans a new perspective to this growing era in Star Wars.

Tempest Runner will be available on August 31.

The Edge of Balance

Lucasfilm

Another new addition to the publishing campaign, The Edge of Balance is The High Republic’s first manga. It is written by Justina Ireland and Shima Shinya. Mizuki Sakakibara is creating the artwork.

This story takes place after the Great Hyperspace Disaster and follows young Jedi Knight Lily Tora-Asi, who is assigned to “help displaced civilians relocate to Banchii, a planet in the Inugg system far in the Outer Rim.” While doing this she must “confront an attack by the insidious Drengir” and “deal with the growing threat of the Nihil.”

The Edge of Balance comes out on September 7.

Showdown at the Fair

And finally, The Republic Fair is a major event within this new wave of High Republic stories, and that’s no different for Showdown at the Fair. This 8×8 storybook, meant for children, details the surprise attack from the Nihil and follows Padawan Burryaga the Wookiee as well as the other Jedi who must save the day. It will be available to buy on October 5.
