The Winter Soldier himself graced Good Morning America with his presence today.

Laid back and in characteristically good spirits, Stan joined the hosts of the show this morning to touch on the record-breaking Disney+ viewership numbers for the series premiere of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. They went on to compare co-star Anthony Mackie’s idea of what kind of team the two of them are (Starsky & Hutch) versus Stan’s opinion (Turner & Hooch). In an example of how Mackie and Stan’s on-screen snarky banter translates into their real lives, Mackie had also requested that Good Morning America ask Stan why he’s so boring.

The ultimate fan cast that’s been making the rounds for quite some time now was brought up once again — Stan as a young Luke Sykwalker. The idea has been bounced around because Stan bears a resemblance to a young Mark Hamill (who’s even joined in on the fun as well).

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier sees the return of Stan in his decade-long role as Bucky Barnes and Mackie as Sam Wilson. In the final moments of Avengers: Endgame, a much older Steve Rogers made the choice to pass on his vibranium shield to Sam. This six-part series picks up in the aftermath of those events and finds Bucky and Sam on a global adventure that will test their skills and their patience with one another.

Episode 2 is set to premiere exclusively on Disney+ tomorrow, March 26. Stick around for our weekly episodic recaps, reviews, theories, and more!
