Holy Delay, Batman! WB Games Montreal Pushes Release of ‘Gotham Knights’

The Twitter account for Gotham Knights, the much anticipated video game based on DC Comics, announced that the release of the game has been pushed back to 2022.

The game was originally set to see a 2021 worldwide release date, but some undisclosed setbacks in development have lead to a notable delay. The official announcement (which you can find at the end of this article) reads:

Gotham Knights will now launch worldwide in 2022
We are giving the game more time to deliver the best possible experience to players. Thank you to our amazing fans for your tremendous support of Gotham Knights. We look forward to showcasing more of the game in the coming months.

The official trailer and first gameplay video were released during DC’s FanDome event last August (you can check those out here), and fans had mixed feelings at the time. Hopefully this delayed release will offer a chance for the creators to mold the game into exactly what they imagined when they set out.
