Daniel Radcliffe Joins Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum in ‘Lost City of D’

The cast for Paramount’s upcoming film Lost City of D just got a little bit better as Daniel Radcliffe has joined the team.

The romantic action-adventure has already announced Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum as the film’s stars, so what role could there be for Radcliffe? The villain, of course. In a tale of a reclusive novelist (Bullock) who is sure that being on a book tour with her cover model (Tatum) is the worst possible thing to ever happen to her, Radcliffe’s character swoops in with a kidnapping attempt that set the pair on the course for adventure, and eventually, romance.

There are not many details about exactly what Radcliffe’s role as the villain will look like, but the former Harry Potter star has proven his acting chops repeatedly in the years since we first met him as the boy-who-lived. From dark films like The Woman in Black to comedy shows like Miracle Workers, which is on its way to a third season, Radcliffe has certainly made sure we know just what he is capable of. We even saw him as the villain in Now You See Me 2, so it will be exciting to see him return to that type of role for this film.

LeeAnn is children's librarian who joined Nerds and Beyond in 2020 as a way to stretch her writing skills and connect with others who have the same pop culture passions as she does. She loves music, reading (obviously), and any TV show that can grab and hold her attention. Currently some of her favorite things to nerd out over include Supernatural, Prodigal Son, Louden Swain and Percy Jackson (books, theater, or upcoming show - lets leave the movies out of it).
