The end is nigh … the sixth and final issue of The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys: National Anthem is here.

The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys: National Anthem is written by Gerard Way and Shaun Simon, with art by Leonardo Romero, lettering by Nate Piekos, and coloring by Jordie Bellaire. This epic story, which has been years in the making, follows the original Killjoy, Mike Milligram. The Killjoys used to be a part of a group of teenage exterminators on a mission to save reality. After temporarily losing their memories, the gang gets back together years later in a final showdown against an evil pharmaceutical corporation, their monstrous hitman, and savage gang rivals.

In issue #5, a shocking and devastating discovery was made as the Killjoys finally arrived at B.T. Global Marketing’s headquarters … only to find a very much alive and well Maria amongst them.

The summary for issue #6 is as follows:

The re-assembled Killjoys crew finally enter New York City and come face-to-face with their enemies and their past for a final showdown with reality and their lives in the balance.

In addition to Romero’s cover, there are also two variant covers available for issue #6. The covers, pictured below, feature artwork by Becky Cloonan (the artist for the 2013 version of The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys) and Brian Chippendale.
