Lovecraft Country star Jonathan Majors has landed his next project! According to Deadline, Majors will star in the upcoming film 892.

892 will focus on a Marine war veteran (Majors). It will follow him as he returns home and struggles to adjust to life as a civilian, as well as battle PTSD.

The film will mark the feature directorial debut of Abi Damaris Corbin, who has written, directed, and produced several short films. Along with directing, Corbin developed the screenplay with Kwame Kwei-Armah. Salman Al-Rashid, Joshua Bearman, Mackenzie Fargo, Kevin Turen, and Ashley Levinson are attached to produce. Arthur Spector and Joshua Davis will serve as executive producers.

Majors is no stranger to film and has starred in several noteworthy features, including Da 5 Bloods, The Last Black Man in San Francisco, and White Boy Rick. He’s demonstrated his ability to fall into various headspaces as an actor, so we can’t wait to see what he brings to this new role!

Filming is scheduled to begin sometime this summer. There is currently no projected release date. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
