90s Kids Get Excited, Paramount+ Is Rebooting ‘Rugrats’

As part of their children’s programming plan, Paramount+ is expanding, revisiting, and rebooting a variety of favorite Nickelodeon programs including iCarly, Dora the Explorer, and their most recent reboot announcement Rugrats.

The announcement came as part of a large roll out of content announcements on the Paramount+ Twitter account earlier this week that included a first look at the updated CG animation for the series. Rugrats originally ran for nine seasons on Nickelodeon from 1991 to 2004, and saw a great deal of success beyond that as well. This included multiple theatrical films, TV movies and a spin off series Rugrats All Grown Up!. So it is unsurprising that Paramount+ has chosen to bring it back.

As of now, the original voice cast from Rugrats is set to return for the reboot including E.G. Daily (Tommy), Nancy Cartwright (Chuckie), Cheryl Chase (Angelica), Cree Summer (Susie), and Kath Soucie (Phil and Lil). Check out the new first look below, and be sure to stay tuned for more information as we get it!

She loves music, reading (obviously), and any TV show that can grab and hold her attention. Currently some of her favorite things to nerd out over include Supernatural, Prodigal Son, Louden Swain and Percy Jackson (books, theater, or upcoming show - lets leave the movies out of it).
