The Loki series for Disney+ has finally gotten its official Disney+ release date — Friday, June 11.
The series will focus on Loki after he reacquires the Tessaract during the time heist in Avengers: Endgame when Tony Stark loses it in New York City, so the redeemed Loki after the events of Thor: Ragnarok is no more.
Owen Wilson’s character still hasn’t gotten an official name, but it is rumored he’s the Time Variance Authority’s Mr. Mobius M. Mobius. The TVA’s involvement in Loki is no surprise, as they’re the organization in charge of keeping timelines from being altered in the Multiverse, and we know there’s been a ton of that in the MCU recently.
The addition of the TVA to Loki also only furthers that the Multiverse is the MCU’s future, as evidence points to WandaVision already toying with it and the future Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness film set for next year.
