This morning on Live with Kelly and Ryan, the hosts were joined by Prodigal Son star Tom Payne where they picked his brain about season two as well as discussed his new haircut, his recent marriage, and more! Check out the video clips below.

With Payne’s transition into the role of Malcolm Bright, he not only had to maintain his American accent (a very convincing one, we might add), but he also had to cut off most of his hair! Prior to Prodigal Son, Payne had very long locks and a beard from his role on The Walking Dead. In the clip below, he discusses which is less maintenance.

While the world has been stuck in quarantine, Payne and his wife, musician Jennifer Akerman, decided not to let that stop their plans to tie the knot. The couple got married on December 21, Payne’s birthday!

Payne shared that he has also perfected the homemade pizza in their pizza oven which they purchased at the beginning of the year. He prefers to put a healthy spin on the dish, leaning away from the “greasier” New York version. Perhaps he’ll share the perfect recipe soon.

Lastly, Payne talked about season 2 of Prodigal Son after a sneak peek was aired (you can find it here) on the show, including the recent news that Catherine Zeta-Jones will begin filming with the cast soon.

Prodigal Son returns Tuesday, January 12 on FOX at 9/8 C.
