Days after the release of Wonder Woman 1984, Warner Bros. has announced that Wonder Woman 3 has been fast-tracked, and will bring back Gal Gadot as well as director Patty Jenkins.

In a statement to the press, Warner Bros. chief Toby Emmerich said “As fans around the world continue to embrace Diana Prince, driving the strong opening weekend performance of Wonder Woman 1984, we are excited to be able to continue her story with our real life Wonder Women — Gal and Patty — who will return to conclude the long-planned theatrical trilogy.”

Wonder Woman 1984, the sequel to 2017 hit Wonder Woman, fast forwards via a time jump from the first World War all the way to the 1980s. Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman) takes on two villains — Barbara Minerva/The Cheetah (Kristen Wiig) and Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) — while Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) finds his way back to Diana.

Wonder Woman 1984 is available to stream free to HBO Max subscribers and in select theaters now.
