After making history as the longest-running live-action sitcom when it was renewed for another season back in May, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is shattering its own record with an unprecedented four-season renewal! Announced as part of Disney’s massive Investor Day presentation, the FX sitcom was renewed through season 18. The cult favorite series follows four friends who involve themselves in a number of hilarious and frequently inappropriate schemes while managing Paddy’s Pub in Philadelphia. The show first debuted in 2005 and has actually gained viewers over the years due to its availability on streaming platforms, with its most recent season averaging 3 million viewers. FX also announced the show would continue to be available streaming on Hulu the day after it airs on FX.

It’s Always Sunny stars Rob McElhenney, Glenn Howerton, Charlie Day, Kaitlin Olson, and Danny DeVito. Season 15 is set to premiere next year.
