This year has been a hard one for us all, and it’s one I think we can all agree was pretty exhausting. But it wasn’t all doom and gloom. Throughout the year, singer/songwriter Cobi released new songs to take us away from the chaos for a little while. Today, he released another single, and this one is the ideal choice to listen to as you sit back, close your eyes, and let yourself be transported to a more calming space.

Titled “Go 2 Sleep,” the new song is a lullaby inspired by Cobi’s daughter Kaia. This simple yet beautiful song showcases the more ethereal quality of Cobi’s voice, supported by layered backing vocals and a guitar as the single instrumental accompaniment. Through the lyrics, he offers supporting words and a safe space for Kaia, bringing his undeniable love for his daughter to the forefront. Though the song was written for Kaia, it remains relatable and comforting, especially for younger or new parents. It’s a dreamy and gorgeous song perfect for helping soothe your little ones.

About “Go 2 Sleep,” Cobi said,

“The song is about giving solace and feeling safe. Bringing a child into this world can be really scary. This next generation is going to have unfathomable problems to solve. But for now, they should be able to rest easy and be free of worry.”
