The inaugural Critics Choice Super Awards, a special event honoring the most popular, fan-obsessed genres across both television and movies — including superhero, sci-fi/fantasy, horror, action, and animation — are quickly approaching. Hosted by Kevin Smith and Dani Fernandez, this remote presentation of the Super Awards will air on The CW on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 8 p.m. EST.
The list of nominees was announced this morning, and it includes three nominations for the latest iteration of Mike Flanagan’s horror anthology Netflix series The Haunting of Bly Manor!
Set in 1980s England, Bly Manor follows the story of a young American nanny who is hired to care for two orphans following their au pair’s tragic death. The children reside at Bly Manor, accompanied by the estate’s chef, the groundskeeper, and the housekeeper. Dark secrets of love and loss await within the walls of Bly Manor, a place where all is not as it seems.
The Haunting of Bly Manor received nominations in the following categories:
Best Horror Series
Best Actress in a Horror Series – T’Nia Miller
Best Actress in a Horror Series – Victoria Pedretti
Both Pedretti and Miller put on absolute standout performances as the nanny Dani and the housekeeper Hannah, respectively, making these nominations incredibly well-deserved. The Haunting of Bly Manor is now streaming on Netflix.
