On October 14, Dexter fans were treated to a piece of delightfully killer news: the Showtime series will return for one more season! Michael C. Hall, who played the titular character of Dexter Morgan, and original showrunner Clyde Phillips were announced along with the news. Now, Showtime is bringing back yet another familiar face to the revival.
The Hollywood Reporter exclusively announced that Marcos Siega has joined the creative team of the upcoming limited run. He is set to executive produce the show, as well as direct six of the 10 episodes. Siega is no stranger to Dexter and has directed episodes from the show’s original run. He will executive produce alongside Phillips and Hall. Sara Colleton, John Goldwyn, and Scott Reynolds will also return to the show as executive producers, with Bill Carraro joining as well.
Dexter is set to begin filming sometime in early 2021, aiming for a Fall 2021 release.
