Disney has finally unveiled its next promising story.
The Southeast Asia inspired story of Raya and the Last Dragon will follow Raya who, per the official synopsis, is “a lone warrior” that sets out to “find the last dragon in existence and save the kingdom of Kumandra from the villainous Druun.” The voice of the last dragon Sisu, who at any time can take on a human form, is voiced by Golden Globe winner Awkwafina (Crazy Rich Asians, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) with Kelly Marie Tran leading as Raya.
Raya and the Last Dragon is set to hit theaters March 12, 2021.
