There has been another casting announcement in regards to the upcoming DC film Black Adam. Joining the growing cast is Sarah Shahi (The Rookie). Her character is a university professor named Adrianna Tomaz, a freedom fighter leading the resistance in the fictional Middle Eastern country Kahndaq.

Shahi will join the anti-hero played by Dwayne Johnson, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, and Aldis Hodge as Hawkman. Black Adam was created as an enemy of Shazam and the Marvel family and is the dark side of the Shazam, if you will. Like Shazam, his powers come from saying the word “Shazam.”

Not much is known yet on what the plot of the film is going to be. The movie was originally set to be released in December of 2021 but has since been delayed. Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
