Sony Pictures Home Entertainment had announced the Resident Evil limited-edition 4K Ultra HD collection would be arriving on November 3. However, Resident Evil fans will have to wait a little bit longer. Sony Pictures has recently announced a change in the collection’s release date. The Resident Evil 4K Ultra HD Collection will now arrive on November 17.
Based on Capcom’s video game series of the same name, Resident Evil stars Milla Jovovich as Alice, a security expert with superhuman abilities. Alice goes head to head with the international pharmaceutical company, the Umbrella Corporation, as the world’s population transforms into flesh-eating monsters by one of the corporation’s biological weapons.
The limited-edition Resident Evil box set will include Resident Evil, Resident Evil: Apocalypse (along with the original theatrical version and an extended cut), Resident Evil: Extinction, Resident Evil: Afterlife, Resident Evil: Retribution, and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. The box set will also offer hours of bonus features for all six films and featurettes not previously available on disc.
