Nerds Gets Spooky: We’re “Too Old to Trick or Treat, Too Young to Die” in ‘That 70’s Show’

To celebrate Halloween, the staff at Nerds and Beyond are going to be bringing you some of our favorite TV shows with episodes that are guaranteed to get you feeling extra spooky. On this, the fifth day of October, we are taking you to the psychedelic era called the 70s, where a boring night in Eric Foreman’s basement takes a scary turn.

It’s Halloween Night. Hyde (Danny Masterson), Jackie (Mila Kunis), Kelso (Ashton Kutcher), Donna (Laura Prepon), and Eric (Topher Grace) are watching a Hitchcock Halloween marathon on TV when Fez (Wilmer Valderrama) walks in dressed as the iconic Rocky Horror Picture Show character, Dr. Frank-N-Furter. At first it’s all fun and games, but soon our characters start to find themselves living through unexplainable events that will make them scream (literally).

It all starts with an incident involving Fez, Eric, and a super ball on the Foreman’s roof. Parked in front of Eric’s bedroom window, Fez and Hyde are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the hot, next door neighbor, when they start to notice some strange behavior through their binoculars. It’s Bob and he appears to be struggling with that trash bag he is dragging across the floor. What could possibly be inside it? Fez immediately comes to the conclusion that it is none other than the remains of Bob’s hot wife Midge, who has conveniently been “missing” for a couple days now.

While the evidence against Bob continues to grow, some of our other characters are acting in their own Hitchcock films. For Kitty, feeding a friend’s birds takes a nightmarish turn. Kelso finds himself in an ugly dispute with a paper boy that ends with him in a spinoff of the famous shower scene from Psycho. Donna dresses up as a mysterious blonde and lures Eric to the water tower. Where are Mr. Foreman and Jackie in all of this? Well, Red is obviously too smart for this kind of stuff and Jackie is just too busy being Jackie.

This episode is perfect for when you need a break from the horror of the Halloween season and decide you need a good laugh. Make sure to be checking in with your friends here at Nerds and Beyond throughout the month of October as we will be recommending a Halloween special for you to watch every day.
