Netflix has announced that a sequel to The Christmas Chronicles will be released this year on November 25, just in time for the holidays! Kurt Russell, who starred in the original 2018 film, will be returning as Santa. He will be joined by Goldie Hawn, who will be playing Mrs. Claus. Judah Lewis, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and Darby Camp will also be returning to reprise their roles from the first movie.

The Christmas Chronicles tells the story of two siblings, Kate (Camp) and Teddy (Lewis), who try to catch Santa Claus on camera Christmas Eve night, and end up on quite the holiday adventure when they stow away on Santa’s sleigh.

The sequel takes place two years after the original, introducing a now jaded teenage Kate. However, she and her brother must band together to help Santa save the North Pole when a new villain, Belsnickel, threatens to ruin Christmas.

Netflix has also released the first sneak peek for The Christmas Chronicles 2, which you can take a look at below!
