The multitalented Halsey and actress Sydney Sweeney (Euphoria) are coming together for the series The Player’s Table based on the book, They Wish They Were Us by Jessica Goodman.

According to a Hollywood Reporter article, the show is set “at an exclusive Long Island prep school and revolves around high school senior Jill Newman (Sweeney) who works to uncover the truth about her best friend’s death three years ago and the role she and her fellow “players” — members of the secret society that rules the school— may have had in it.”  Jill’s best friend’s name is Shila, and there was a person arrested for the murder. The sister of the convicted, Rachel Calloway (Halsey), is not convinced her brother is responsible and helps Jill uncover the truth.

While we wait for which network is going to be picking up the series, we do know a few things. Halsey will be a producer on the show and it will be written, directed, and executive produced by Annabelle Attanasio (Bull).
