Disney’s Live-Action ‘Mulan’ Now Streaming on Disney+

Share:

Originally planned for a theatrical release that was eventually removed from the theatrical lineup (thanks a lot, Corona), Disney’s live action reboot of Mulan is now streaming exclusively on Disney+. Any current subscriber to the streaming platform can unlock premier access to the movie for an additional fee of $29.99.

Directed by Niki Caro, this new version of Mulan offers a fresh but familiar take on Disney’s original animated Mulan from 1998. It follows Mulan, a young woman who sets out to save her father from serving in the Army by disguising herself as a man and taking his place. It stars Yifei Liu as Mulan, Donnie Yen as Commander Tung, Li Gong as Xianniang, and Jet Li as the Emperor. This version will also introduce new characters to the world of Mulan.

Beginning December 4, all Disney+ subscribers will gain access to the film, no premier fee needed. Meanwhile, stream Mulan now with premier access on Disney+. If you haven’t yet, check out the trailer below.
