As reported by Variety, Jack Quaid is now the latest actor to join the cast of Paramount and Spyglass Media’s Scream reboot. Quaid currently stars in the hit Amazon Prime show The Boys, as well as the brand new animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks.
Directed by Ready or Not‘s Matthew Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett and written by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick, Scream will feature some familiar faces from the original films. Courteney Cox will be reprising her role as Gale Weathers, and David Arquette will return as Dewey Riley. Other cast members will include Melissa Barrera (Vida) and Jenna Ortega (You).
Production is expected to begin later this year in Wilmington, North Carolina. Last week, it was confirmed that the movie is set to premiere on January 14, 2022.
In the meantime, catch Quaid in season 2 of The Boys, which will premiere on Amazon Prime Video this Friday, September 4.
