Even though it is only August, we already have a Christmas miracle to look forward to this year as the Goo Goo Dolls have announced that their first ever holiday album, It’s Christmas All Over will be arriving October 30.

According to an interview clip shared to the band’s Twitter account, the album aims to remind listeners of the classic Christmas albums they grew up listening to but will also include other styles, such as that of the title track “It’s Christmas All Over” which was originally a song by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The idea behind the album was, in the spirit of 2020, to let go of the “Cool” image and make a Christmas album that people could have fun listening to.

Aside from the title track, we do not yet have any further information about the track list, or when pre-orders might be available. However, the album — recorded entirely in this new COVID-19, social distancing world — promises to be a fun new experience for everyone.
