Pete Davidson and O’Shea Jackson Jr. to Star in Aftermarket Sneaker Film ‘American Sole’

As first reported by Deadline, a dramatic comedy about the ever popular world of aftermarket sneakers is on the way from STXfilms.

Starring Pete Davidson (The King of Staten Island) and O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton), American Sole will tell the story of “two twenty-somethings with mountains of college debt who use the fast cash of aftermarket sneaker reselling to achieve their American dream. But when their startup runs out of cash and a shady investor is their only way out, the dream quickly becomes a nightmare.”

The film will be written and directed by How To Make It In America‘s Ian Edelman and produced by Kevin Hart and Chris Paul. Stadium Goods, a New York-based sneaker and streetwear company, specializing in aftermarket sales, will be a consulting producer on the project. Additionally, Stadium Goods’ John McPheters and Hartbeat’s Bryan Smiley will be executive producers.
