God save the Queen!

Fans of The Crown are familiar with the rotating cast, with the age differences reflecting different time periods in the lives of Queen Elizabeth II and the rest of the royal family. As reported by the UK news outlet The Sun, we have finally found out that Jonathan Pryce will play Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, in the final installments of the series.

Pryce has been in several productions but is perhaps most well known for his role as High Sparrow on Game of Thrones. With Imelda Staunton cast to play the Queen and Lesley Manville set to play Princess Margaret, the third and final “era” shapes up to be quite the star-studded cast.

While we won’t be seeing them for another season, as season 4 is set to be released later this winter, we can’t wait to see how the third and final cast of The Crown closes this beloved production. Stay tuned for more updates.
