As exclusively revealed by Deadline, Adria Arjona (6 Underground, Triple Frontier) has been confirmed for a leading role in the upcoming Disney+ Star Wars series based off of the Rogue One character Cassian Andor. Arjona will star alongside Diego Luna, who will be reprising his role as the aforementioned daring Rebel soldier. Details about Arjona’s character and how she will fit into the story are currently unknown.

The still-untitled spy thriller will have Rogue One‘s co-writer, Tony Gilroy, as its showrunner. Minimal plot details have been revealed thus far, but we do know that it will serve as a prequel series to the events that took place in the 2016 Star Wars film, following Cassian’s adventures during the formative years of the Rebellion, when the galaxy was still at the whim of a ruthless Empire.

Alan Tudyk will reprise his role as the quick-witted droid K-2SO, while Genevieve O’Reilly will appear once more as Mon Mothma. The cast is also set to include Denise Gough, Stellan Skarsgård, and Kyle Soller in undisclosed roles.

Stay tuned for more information!
