Deadline exclusively shared that John Boyega (Star Wars) and Darren Criss (Hollywood) have been working together on a sci-fi podcast called There Be Monsters, which completed production during the lockdown. According to the article, Boyega will play,
“Jack Locke, a mysterious hero with a vendetta who infiltrates a Silicon Valley body hacking startup run by an enigmatic CEO Max Fuller (Criss), whose highly secretive creations promise to enhance human biology in incredible ways. Of course, every drug has a side effect.”
The podcast will be composed of 10 episodes. The show is created and directed by Dan Busch and is co-written by Busch and Nicolas Tecosky. Beau Flynn produces the podcast from FlynnPictureCo, Dan Busch from Psychopia Pictures, and Boyega’s production company Upper Room Productions.
Deadline also revealed that Marley Shelton (Rampage), Clark Gregg (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), and Sahr Ngaujah (Fela!, Patti Cake$) are part of the cast. No release date is known at this time, but it should be available later this year on iHeart Radio.
