‘Steven Universe: The Movie’ Streaming Now on HBO Max

Taking place after the television show, Steven Universe: The Movie is a fan favorite sequel starring the Gems we know and love. Originally released on September 2, 2019, on Cartoon Network, Steven Universe: The Movie has found a new home on HBO Max and is available to stream now!

Directed by Rebecca Sugar, this animated movie gives viewers a look into what Steven’s life is like after negotiating peace between the Diamonds and Earth in the television series finale. Having been free of any conflict for two years, a more grown-up Steven is suddenly faced with a new kind of challenge when a piece of his mother’s past returns, causing problems for the Crystal Gems and Earth.
