With the recent premiere of Cursed, Netflix has created a new virtual experience for fans of the show! By going to their new “Discover Cursed” website, viewers can see exclusive behind the scenes content about the making of the show. There is an interview with the cast via Zoom, a Q&A with series creators Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler, and there’s even a featurette on creating Nimue’s hair. Those features are interesting enough, but the website also contains an augmented reality game that is played on visitors’ smartphones. The AR content uses the camera on your smartphone to allow you to complete quests on the way to getting the Sword of Power. Unlike a typical AR game, this experience does not require a separate app to play. It’s easy and fun, with plenty of Easter eggs for those who have finished the series already.
